Following the adventures of Duncan MacLeod, a 400-year-old Immortal who can only die if he is beheaded; conflict finds him because he is part of The Game, an ongoing battle in which all Immortals have to fight until only one is left.

The Immortals find they have been spied upon for centuries by a secret order known as The Watchers. Seen as a threat to humanity and unbound by the Immortal code, they use deceit, traps, and technology to hunt down and kill every Immortal.

This season, Richie returns to his training, and other Immortals, good and bad, fade in and out of Duncan's life. We learn more about the Watchers, a worldwide organization that has been keeping tabs on the various Immortals for centuries.

Immortal Duncan MacLeod returns to his native Scotland, as Joe Dawson is put on trial for his life by his fellow Watchers, accused of the unforgivable crime of revealing the existence of the Watchers to an Immortal.

With the Watcher / Immortal war averted, Duncan and Joe try to fall back into their familiar roles of decapitating evil Immortals. The transition is not easy, since baggage remains from the conflict.

MacLeod has returned to Paris determined to avenge the beheading of Richie. Having given up his sword since Richie's demise, Duncan proves to himself that an Immortal can exist in modern times without having to fall back upon bloodshed.

Peter Wingfield brought us the most beloved Immortal, Methos. This special release of six favorite episodes includes a brand new interview with Wingfield and David Abramowitz featuring video questions submitted by fans.
